ABOUT THE COURSE
The BSTT Madrid Course follows the principles established by its founder, Dr. Henry J. Mankin, whose vision continues to guide the educational spirit of the programme.
The February 2027 edition will continue the Course’s multidisciplinary approach to bone and soft tissue tumors, bringing together specialists involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with sarcomas and other musculoskeletal tumors.
The faculty comprises internationally recognized experts and key opinion leaders from across the field, including representatives of the world’s leading scientific societies in sarcoma care, offering unparalleled expertise and diverse perspectives on the contemporary management of bone and soft tissue tumors.
The Course is designed to provide the multidisciplinary sarcoma team with a deeper understanding of the scientific basis of musculoskeletal pathology, an area in which the roles of the orthopaedic oncology surgeon, pathologist and radiologist are closely interconnected.
Furthermore, the course highlights advanced systemic treatments and cutting-edge technologies redefining modern surgery for sarcomas, aggressive benign tumors, and metastasis, encompassing AORIF, computer navigation, 3D printing, and custom-made surgical guides.
Through a dynamic combination of lectures, 16 interactive clinical case discussions, and 5 thought-provoking crossfire sessions, the Course aims to foster collaboration, stimulate critical clinical decision-making, and promote excellence in the multidisciplinary care of patients with sarcomas and other musculoskeletal tumors.
