Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 24th General Meeting of the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS), to be held in Quito, Ecuador, on 4–7 October 2028.

ISOLS has always been defined by its people: surgeons, oncologists, engineers, scientists and allied professionals who share a commitment to advancing patient care and fostering innovation in orthopedic oncology. Our biennial gathering builds on a long tradition that began with the first meeting at the Mayo Clinic, and each edition renews this spirit of collaboration.

In line with the Society’s mission to promote research, education and clinical practice related to musculoskeletal tumors, and to improve patient care related to limb salvage interventions, we are working to develop a scientifically rich and stimulating program. It will cover all aspects of musculoskeletal tumors and limb salvage, showcasing original scientific presentations and the latest developments at the intersection of our fields. These sessions aim to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, inspire innovative solutions and ultimately improve outcomes for patients worldwide.

Bringing ISOLS to the Americas, and specifically, Latin America is a wonderful opportunity to explore a continent that is rich cultural heritage, unmatched biodiversity, with global contributions in art, history, and natural resources.

The 2028 annual meeting is a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties with colleagues across the region, to support the next generation of researchers, and to exchange experience between centers with diverse resources and approaches to care. Set high in the Andes, Quito, with its historic center recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a unique backdrop for learning, networking and lasting friendships.

We invite you to take an active part in shaping the scientific program by submitting your abstracts and sharing your ideas for topics, workshops and interactive sessions. Your participation is invaluable, and we are confident that together we will make this meeting another resounding success.
